Clwb Celf - Saturday morning art club

Celf o Gwmpas has recently been awarded funding, from The Arts Council of Wales Create fund, to reintroduce the highly popular Saturday morning art club for young people. Now named Club Celf. We started back on 11th March with artist Erin Hughes, who ran workshops for two weeks, they were all about learning how to marble paper and using it to make pictures. The next two weeks will be learning to weave on peg loom using recycled materials with artist Jane Mason.

There are two sessions each Saturday, during term time, 9.30 - 10.30am for up to 10 year olds and 10.45am - 11.45am for 11 -16 year olds. Each week the young people get to work with a professional artist, learning a wide variety of skills in different mediums, from collage and painting to drawing and felting.

We ask that anyone 10 and under has a parent/carer stay with them, although if this is difficult for any reason we do have a support worker on the sessions who is there to support anyone who may need it.

There is no cost for the sessions. It is advisable to book in advance, especially the session for younger people which is very popular.
