Graham Haslock
Graham is a digital artist based in Mid Wales. After many years as a Teacher of Art he is now establishing a portfolio of work.
Grahams main focus is on landscapes and 'significant' places and structures.
A series of serial photographic studies that have been created over a number of years. At the core of his work is a belief in Art being true to nature, and that artists can sometimes cloud the truth with their own aesthetic. As a result his work involves setting up a photographic situations which require a series of actions on the part of himself and or participant/s which should not be interfered with by creative choices once under way.
In many cases rather than compose single images and wait for a 'decisive moment'; he often prefers to make up to 288 exposures each capturing a 15 x 15 degrees view. During this process no creative decisions are made. These 288 exposures are then formed using classic cartographic projections to turn the 4 dimensional exposures sequences into 2 dimensional images.
