Paul is a printmaker creating original relief & intaglio limited edition prints in his studio in Llanwrtyd Wells, set amidst the beauty of mid-Wales.

A long-held interest in archaeology means that he is particularly drawn to the remains of human activity in the landscape. There is often a degree of tension between these structures, their original function, their setting and society’s changing cultural attitudes towards them.

A fundamental tension is also present in printmaking - between the artistic choices and the technical processes involved in the creation of an image. 

Paul is also fascinated by the concept of liminality; by boundaries, thresholds and transitions - in both time and place.

Pauls prints are an attempt to reflect these interests and tensions.

Paul is a member of the Aberystwyth Printmakers, the Irfon Valley Artists & Artisans and the Celf o Gwmpas Artists Network
