Christine studied Fine Art at Liverpool Polytechnic, specialising in ceramics, then studied for the Art Teachers Certificate at London University Institute of Education.

Since retiring from teaching Art & Design to Secondary school students she has enjoyed returning to art practice, working in ceramics, watercolours and calligraphy.

She is a keen beekeeper and gardener and both these activities provide inspiration for her work.

Joining the Marches Scribes in 2021 has enabled her to access workshops led by well respected and talented calligraphers and has led to this aspect of her practice dominating recently.

She has exhibited with the Marches Scribes as well as in mixed shows at MOMA, Machynlleth and Oriel, Crickhowell and at Theatr Brycheiniog, Wyeside and Celf o Gympas.
