About Celf o Gwmpas

'Creating social inclusion, inspiring artistic ambition and providing a resource for the wider community'

As a community arts charity Celf o Gwmpas has built up a significant understanding of both the needs and aspirations of our participants with a strong commitment to inclusion, participation and diversity. Celf o Gwmpas provides opportunities for the whole community but with particular focus on those with specific needs. Knowledge is reflected in our values in our workshops, exhibitions and performances with adults, young people and children.

In May 2014 we moved from our beautiful (but small) Victorian offices (now Stiwdio Celf o Gwmpas), workshop and gallery space to take over Llandrindod Wells’ former Drama Centre building. Centre Celf is a multi purpose arts space providing a home to a wide range of creative and cultural activities. We continue to generate and create through our workshop programme, gallery exhibitions, screenings and performances.

In The Community

Celf o Gwmpas offers opportunities in the wider community for the general public to engage in art activities. The charity does this through workshops, our mobile art trailer, commissions for public art, and working in collaboration with local organisations and groups. If you are interested in working in collaboration with Celf o Gwmpas, would like us to bring our Art Trailer to an event, or have an idea for a workshop please get in touch.

Social Inclusion

Celf o Gwmpas creates projects, exhibitions and residencies that open up opportunities for participation, developing artistic practice and supporting social inclusion, by providing workshops in the community, including for learning disabled adults and people living with dementia.
