Our New Exhibition

Diversity

by Contemporary Quilt

Contemporary Quilt members are a diverse collection of quilters and fabric artists working at the cutting edge of their practice, creating innovative and dynamic art.

Community quilt sets a biennial challenge. The 2023 challenge ‘Diversity’ was chosen as it sums up the ethos of contemporary quilt. To encourage diversity in the making, quilts could be landscape or portrait but had to be a minimum of 50 x 50cm, a maximum of 100 x 100cm and any size in between.

The subjects covered by the quilts range from diversity within the natural world, diversity of colour, materials and techniques and diversity of humanity.

There are 33 pieces within the collection and we are fortunate to be able to display the whole collection.

The exhibition runs until Thursday 29th May and is open Tuesday - Thursdays 10am - 4pm and Saturday term times, 9am - 12pm.
