Llandrindod Wells Art Club

Our current exhibition is a selection of work by Llandrindod Wells Art Club. The club was founded in 1955 when a group of friends who had been attending local classes decided to form their own art club.  The first meeting was held on 28th March 1955.  Initially the club met at The Metropole Hotel and the first exhibition took place there that same year.

There has been a summer exhibition every year since and is traditionally held at The Metropole Hotel in the last week of August.  In 2025 they will be celebrating their 70th anniversary.

Over the years the club has gone from strength to strength and at present have 30 members.  Meetings are held weekly at Centre Celf in Llandrindod Wells.

There is one professional artist but most are keen amateurs.  There are no tutors as such but they help each other, sharing techniques and information to expand their knowledge.  The range of subjects and media used is extensive.  They occasionally have workshops and trips out.

We are open Tuesday -  Thursday 10am - 4pm, Saturday 9am - 12pm
