January Guided Discovery Sessions
As part of our exciting project Celf i Bawb/Art for Everyone every Wednesday as part of our Open Art Room, we have the Guided Discovery Sessions.
Open Art Room is every Wednesday 10am - 3pm, where you can come and use our art room to do your own project, meet other people and enjoy being in a busy and welcoming Art Centre. Each month we have a different artist in the studio from 11am - 1pm offering guidance, support and inspiration to those that want it.
Sessions start back this Wednesday, 8th January with Lucy Burden as this January’s artist.
Lucy moved back to Mid Wales with her family in 2007 and lives near Llandrindod. Lucy worked as an actor, community arts practitioner and teacher and after many years of dreaming about it Lucy finally took up painting full time after a car crash in 2018.
Lucy paints stunning, atmospheric landscapes and seascapes which are full of movement and fluidity. She particularly loves to paint the countryside of Mid Wales and the Cardiganshire coast, near Llangrannog.
You can see Lucy’s new work, Flow, inspired by the River Wye at Hay Castle from 20th Janaury 2025. Hay Castle is its first showing after which it will be developed and toured to other galleries along the course of the River Wye.
No need to book for Open Art room you can come for the day or just for the guided discovery sessions or anything in between!
