Our Next Exhibition

The next exhibition at Centre Celf, running from 20th April - 26th May, is a collection of work by Region 12 of the Quilters Guild, which covers all of south and Mid Wales.  Their members cover a wide range of abilities in the area of patchwork, quilting, fabric decoration and embroidery and represent a wide range of ages and abilities and are all local to the region.

This exhibition of 36 small wall hangings are part of a challenge set back in 2020.  Each participant was required to make an A3 sized quilt using the previous persons quilt as inspiration.  How they interpreted that inspiration was up to them.  In some cases it is clear where the inspiration lay, in others, not so.  It is interesting to see the range of techniques, decorative treatments, embellishments and quilting that has been used.

Each participant only saw a photo of the previous quilt so they had no idea what any other participant had created before them.

The exhibition will be open Tuesday - Thursdays 10am - 4pm and Saturdays 9.30am - 12pm.
